SALON UPDATE JANUARY 2026

Is it me, or did 2025 just flash by?

I suppose I feel this way because I'm getting older, but I think staying busy makes a difference, too- and that sums up the last year for me, for sure! I'm constantly looking for ways to simplify tasks at home and at work, to maintain harmony with loved ones and my own well-being, to be able to keep everything balanced and in rhythm... and it's always the most complicated process! Sometimes, just when I think I've found the perfect solution, or that something is ready to cruise on auto-pilot, I'm proven very wrong. Such is life.

Let's keep it moving.

Here's what's new in the salon for 2026:

Simplified Menus: you might have noticed there are fewer services on the menu. I've basically culled services that rarely get booked or get booked incorrectly, consolidated similarly timed and priced services, included a "dust off" haircut with color and highlight services, and bundled in time for add-ons. I had too many add-ons being booked as main services, which created chaos when booked in between other appointments on a busy day. If you're looking for something and don't find it on the menu, just text me and I'll work something out for you!

Custom Services: Some of y'all have thinner/thicker, longer/shorter hair, and some need simpler/more complex services than others. After "getting to know" someone's hair, I can accurately estimate how long your regular services will take. I already did this by averaging out booking times in the past, but "average" seems to be increasingly rare these days. I will be creating customized services and custom service times if I know I'll need it for you. This will take some time though, so you are welcome to request it if I haven't already set you up (and if you want to, of course)

Premium Services: My regular salon hours are Wednesday and Friday from 8am-6pm, and Saturday from 8am-4pm. I've become more busy this past year, but not busy enough to justify another full day of being open. However, I have added availability for a few of the most booked services, such as Haircuts and Root Retouches, as well as for transormation services like Vivid Color and Gray Blending. These can be booked on Mondays, Thursdays and before/after regular hours; however, they are priced slightly higher. Haircuts and Root Retouch can be found in their regular categories, as well as under the category "Premium Services" in the main menu on the booking site. Book these if you want to come in on a Monday 10-6, Thursday 12-6, or on Wednesday/Friday/Saturday as early as 6am or wrapping up an hour or two after regular closing times. This will be on a trial run for all of 2026!

Same day services are still available to book up to 2 hours ahead!

Reminders with Links: If you book one of the appointments listed below, my system will send you a reminder and booking link after your last appointment as follows:

Haircut: 2-4 weeks

Root Retouch, Toner for Highlights: 4 weeks

Vivid Color to refresh: 4 weeks

Of course, you don't have to book as soon as you get the text. It's more of a guideline and a shortcut to book, instead of trying to remember when you came in last or searching through the menu. You can book any time you are ready by tapping on the link in your text message or PocketSuite app message (and I hope you will)!

Gray Hair Journey Services: In 2025, I consulted with 37 new clients, and the majority of them were looking for services to help them transition to their natural gray hair! I decided to create a whole menu dedicated to these services. At your next visit, you might notice that I've done a little redecorating- feel free to ask about it, or check out the NEW Gray Hair Journey menus, as well as my educational pages under Gray Hair Journey on this website!

Other New Services: I now offer some really exciting add-on services! You'll see a HydroJelly Mini Facial, High Frequency Scalp Treatment, Eyebrow Tinting, Short Hair Gray Blending, Hairpiece Blending, and UV Light Extensions! Most of these are offered with Color and Highlight services, but if you're interested in booking any as a stand-alone service, just text me!

New Menus/Educational Pages: For new guests, I had a hidden page on my website that contained after care tips, tricks, and recommendations for products, and I would send them the direct link to this page after their appointment for color or highlights. I have been working for months on some additional educational pages for gray hair care, curly hair care, gray transitioning, and a dedicated Hair Care and Product Education page. All of these pages will soon be available for everyone to see, and there will be affiliate links to my product recommendations. Some are still being tweaked and polished, so keep an eye out!

Affiliate Links: With rising product and shipping costs, there is no way I can compete with well-known retailers' prices. By utilizing affiliate links, I can recommend a wider variety of items, reduce inventory in my already crowded salon/office, keep costs down for everyone, and you can get what you need asap instead of waiting until your next appointment. For items you purchase through my affiliate links, I may earn a small commission, but it's at no extra cost to you. I will have samples of the products I recommend through my links, so if you want to "try before you buy" or need a few applications to hold you over until your shipment arrives, I've got you!

Gift Certificates: I now offer digital gift certificates that you can purchase for a friend, loved one, or yourself! Certificates include: Haircut + Wash + Blow Dry ($45), Makeover Haircut + Wash + Blow Dry ($60), The Spa Haircut Package (the works $100), and gift certificates in increments of $25, $50, $75, and $100. These are available in the main booking menu, but text me if you need help!
